The Lantern Festival is an important traditional Chinese festival that originated over two thousand years ago. On this day, people hang lanterns that symbolize good fortune and eat tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), which represent family togetherness and happiness, to celebrate this joyful and warm festival.
On this day, the Synberry team visited an ancient town known as the “City of Flowers.” Here, people seem to have a special affection for flowers; every household decorates their entrance with blooming plants, making the town a place surrounded by flowers.
We stepped into a unique bookstore. The owner had transformed his old house into this charming street-side bookshop, filled with the warmth of everyday life. The shop owner keeps a plump little cat, and there is a small balcony extending out from the second floor. Here, you can pick up a favorite book, sip a cup of fragrant coffee, and enjoy the sunlight, the floral scent from below, and the occasional lazy meows of the cat. The meaning of life may lie in these quiet and peaceful moments of happiness.
As night fell, a lantern show began on the river surrounding the town. Colorful lanterns swayed gracefully on the water, their light reflecting the joy on people’s faces. For the Chinese, the end of the Lantern Festival marks the conclusion of the Spring Festival. People will then face the new year with renewed enthusiasm and vigor.
